Novemver 16th, 1922

Jose Saramago is born.  He was a Nobel-laureate Portugese  novelist, poet, playwriter and            journalist. Saramago was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1988.



November 16th, 1938

LSD is first created by Swiss chemist Dr. Albert Hofmann at the Santoz laboratories in Basel.       Switzerland.



November 16th, 1940

The tragic Holocaust. In occupied Poland the Nazis decide to close off the Warsaw Ghetto             from the outside world.


November 16th, 1945

UNESCO is founded. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cutural Organization aims    to promote peace and security by promoting international collaboration through education, education and  culture.



November 16th, 2006

Milton Friedman dies. He was an American economist and professor at the University of              Chicago.  He has received the Nobel Prize of Economics.
