Paracelsus, the great botanist,alcemist and astrologist is born.  His name is after tha Roman    encyclopedist Aulus Cornelius Celsus and it means “equal to or greater to celsus”.

 

 

November 11th, 1821

Fyodor  Mikhaylovich Dostoyevsky is born. The famous Russian writer and one of the greatest    writers of all times. Crime and Punishment , The Brothers Karamazov, The Idiot, The Gambler are some of his known works.

 

 

November 11th, 1926

The U.S. Route 66 is established.

 

 

 

November 11th, 1942

During World War II, the Nazi Germany completes its occupation in France.

 

 

 

November 11th, 1990

The greek Poet Yiannis Ritsos dies in Athens. Ritsos was a left-activist and an active member of      the Greek Resistance during the World War II.
