Franz Kafka Museum
I started reading Kafka’s books at a relatively early age. Metamorphosis – The Trial – The Castle – Amerika. That was a cultural shock really! I kept reading his books although I couldn’t capture the ideas behind the man. As I grew older I managed to grasp the dark and charming Mr. Kafka. Kafka’s Museum in Prague is a visualisation of the author’s world. Let’s leave aside the classical shop all museums have (which was quite nice actually). I had the chance to see Kafka’s writings, pictures of him and his loved ones, remaining pages of his books, short videos. The architecture of the museum reflected a mysterious atmosphere. Dark-coloured with narrow corridors, each leading the visitor to a different era of Kafka’s world. Simple, minimal but comprehensive and information-rich. Good job, worth visiting!
