Jean – Baptiste Poquelin, mainly known as Moliere dies.  Moliere was a French playwright and is  considered to be one of the greatest of the Western literature.Some of his best works are The  Misanthrope,  Tartuffe or the Hypocrite, The Imaginary Invalid and more.

600 people died from tuberculosis in Athens, Greece.
